Responsibilities
Documentation and Research
Development of web content, quarterly project newsletter, success stories and
documentaries on a regular basis
Ensure that project achievements are widely disseminated within Amref and at the county and country level
Lead regular compilation of project documentation including success stories
Technical support
In close coordination with the FGM/C and CEFM Senior Technical Advisor, lead the development of project Information, Education and Communication materials
Ensure adherence to Koota Injena branding and marking plan
Work with the project team and Amref Health Africa USA Communications team to provide updates on ongoing events and activities on a weekly basis
Mentor the project team on success stories writing and photography
Provide editorial support in the development of regular project deliverables and
reports
Monitoring and evaluation
Perform the editorial review of the monthly, quarterly and
annual M&E project
reports
Qualifications
Bachelor Degree in communications, public relations, journalism or a related field
Demonstrated experience in writing and editing performance reports and creating project documentation (such as fact sheets, brochures, newsletter articles, technical briefs, success stories…). Previous experience
in proposal/grant writing is a plus.
High level of proficiency in MS Office (MS Word, Excel and MS PowerPoint, in particular) and Internet Explorer
Ability to work effectively as a team member and independently with minimum supervision
Ability to manage multiple priorities, trouble-shoot, and to meet short- and long-term deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to exercise confidentiality, tact and discretion when dealing with diverse groups of people
