It aims at bridging the gap between accessing affordable healthcare through development of a UHC model that’s equitable available to all Kenyans through NHIF to improve the future of the Kenyan youth.
Goals and outcomes of the Project
Achieve a UHC roadmap that promotes equitable access to health services.
Well-coordinated UHC rollout between national & county governments.
Restructured NHIF Act that reflects the role as a purchaser of a unified, universal and tax funded
health system.
Sustainability of UHC beyond the current government by ensuring that is embedded in the law.
Main Purpose of Job:-
Under the supervision of the Project Manager, CIFF Grant, the job holder will provide technical expertise and support in project activities, logistical support and implementation of CIFF-UHC Grant.
This will be to the office of the CS and the UHC Coordinating structures administration support by ensuring effective coordination, planning and monitoring of office administration, logistics reporting and communication of the CIFF – UHC
project.
Qualifications
University degree in diplomacy and international relations, social sciences, development, public
health, project planning and management or other relevant field.
3 years’ work experience in a busy health programming organisation Excellent written and verbal
communication, negotiation and networking skills
Experience in project implementation, management, design and planning.
Experience in working with the Ministry of Health and County Governments and various stakeholders
and partners Ability to prioritize and multi-task
ICT proficiency
Organization skills
Principal Responsibilities
Project coordination:
Job Title:
Project Sub-committees Coordinator – CIFF Grant - HSS
Support coordination of the UHC structure Oversight, Steering and Sub Committees.
Support Preparation of a consolidated work plan for the UH coordination structure.
Maintain a
calendar of meetings/ events for all committees as per work plan.
Maintain a database of the membership of the different Coordination Committees
Ensure stakeholders representation at every level of the UHC coordination structure.
Analysing progress reports and supporting corrective measures for improvement.
Monitoring and Evaluation of UHC Coordination teams, following up on action points and
documentation.
Providing regular reports and representing the project at different forums.
Documentation
In charge of consolidating various programme monthly, quarterly and annual reports.
Draft and edit a variety of written materials including letters, PowerPoint presentations,
briefing documents email correspondences, meeting agendas, summaries.
Programme Monitoring and Evaluation
Liaise with various stakeholders- local authorities, donors, NGOs, and other operational
partners in the Country through attendance in coordination meetings at County/national and
other relevant forums.
Ensure program assessments are conducted timely in accordance with donor specific requirements, information is analysed and shared with all stakeholders; and appropriate actions are -taken by programme technical staff in collaboration with clients, and partners.
Review all programme donor reports in collaboration with M&E and Finance department.
Finance
Counterchecks all invoice, attach all supporting documents as needed before forwarding for
approvals and payments following queries.
Responsible for processing and acquiring field activity advances for various projects in the
programme and making payments to the participants as per the organisation allowances payment policies
