About YouAs Amnesty International’s lead expert on economic social justice, you will be expected to have a good grasp of current developmental issues driving inequality, poverty and unemployment as key drivers of human rights violations.
You will lead on the development and implementation of overarching research and campaigning strategies to deliver impact in relation to agreed priorities, providing research expertise, research management, political judgment and analytical, communication and representational skills.
This role will lead on the provision of expert advice, investigate, analyse and produce outputs on Economic Social and Cultural Rights in southern Africa using the root cause methodology.
It will ensure that AI identifies and addresses new trends or emerging ESCR issues in a timely manner.
The role, will enrich the southern Africa Regional office’s ability to use national budget information to fo rmulate advocacy and campaigning strategies that address root causes of human rights violations.
