American University of Nigeria Instructor/Assistant/Associate/Full Professor, Public Health Jobs in Nigeria



Job Description

  • The candidate will teach Public Health courses at both introductory and advanced levels.

  • Conduct research and publish papers in rigorous peer-reviewed journals.

  • Promote the School’s research and scholarly activities by presenting research findings in seminars and conferences.

  • Supervise student research projects.

  • Tutor and mentor students.

  • Lead or be part of university/school/departmental committees aimed at promoting research, curriculum development, staff welfare etc.

  • Contribute to AUN’s community service and development.

  • Other duties as assigned by the Dean.

    Person Specification

    (Required)

  • At least a Masters’ Degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Environmental Health, Biostatistics, or a closely related discipline. A Ph.D. is preferable.

  • Candidates with an MBBS, coupled with the Masters in Public Health are also welcome to apply for the Instructor rank.

  • Experience in American style of higher education

  • An outstanding teaching and research record commensurate with career stage.

  • Experience in developing and delivering a problem centered approach to teaching and learning.

  • Record of publishing in relevant reputable journals and willingness to conduct research in Public Health

  • Field and administrative experience
    in Public Health

  • Experience of developing research proposals for externally funded projects
