Alternate Doors Service Desk Analyst Job Opportunities in Kenya
ResponsibilitiesReceive incidents and service requests through phone, email or any other medium and log them as tickets in the Incident Management System (Lan Support).
To assign the priority to the tickets based on Urgency and Impact of the issue
Communicate with clients and follow-up on all open and pending tickets. Log issues and escalate tickets to various technical personnel.
Maintain a very high level of Lan Support Accuracy in terms of call creation and closure.
Understand the Service level Agreement and execute accordingly in order to Meet or exceed the set Service Level Agreement (SLA) KPIs of Contract Clients
Monitor and respond quickly and effectively to requests received through the IT helpdesk
Transfer (route) incidents to relevant 2nd level of support in order to ensure consistent and timely resolution.
Provide technical communication to users about quick fixes and products
Close incidents once resolved in agreement with applicable procedures and validation with end users.
Ensure that the Users agree with the resolution provided addresses their needs prior to incident closure and that the terms and conditions are agreed upon
Ensure Service Desk maintains a high standard of customer service
Ensure daily and weekly reports are forwarded to the Service Analyst.
Perform any other duty as assigned by the management.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
Diploma an added advantage.
At least 1 year(s) of working experience in similar capacity in the IT industry.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to understand and explain many different technologies and to communicate technical concepts in non-technical terms.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Strong experience with PC based communications and analysis including Internet, E-mail, MS Office
Must exhibit a high degree of professionalism
Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.
Genuine interest in technology and software and a desire to continue to learn.
Ability to prioritize and work independently.
Ability to multitask

Responsibilities
Ensure Data Center operation success through Environment, network, server, and infrastructure monitoring and troubleshooting.
Serve as first point of contact for customers needing assistance or turning up new services.
Install network gear, servers, and cabling to meet customer and company needs.
Act as first line of defense for data center crisis including natural disasters, fires and power failures.
Control access to data center and keep a log of all people entering the data center
Manage the receiving of data center deliveries and shipments.
To carry out preventative maintenance of data center equipment and devices with assistance of contracted vendors
Analyze servers and network systems to identify and initiate repair of firmware issues
Evaluate cooling systems to ensure they are operational and can meet equipment temperature conditions.
Requirements
University Degree in computer science or related field.
Certifications from recognized IT companies such as Cisco, Microsoft and HP.
ITIL Certification is an added advantage.
Ability to operate and maintain servers, switches, routers, monitors, and other specialized equipment
Ability to explain complex technical processes
in simple language for general company staff
Skilled in conducting tests to identify and fix faults in a computer/network system.
1 to 2 years’ experience in a similar role will be added advantage.

Responsibilities
Performs secretarial tasks including but not limited to producing letters, reports, memorandums, etc. via the computer; makes photocopies, files, distributes mail, taking minutes etc.
Communicates in a positive and effective manner with staff, co-workers, customers and visitors
Answers telephone communications from customers, suppliers etc. in a courteous and professional manner, takes messages
Works in tandem with the warehouse and sales team, receiving and forwarding calls, requests, quotes, LPOs etc.
Perform other work related tasks as required
Receives and welcomes Visitors
Booking and confirms appointments for the MD and other managers
Requirements
A Diploma in a relevant field from a good institution and 3+ years’ experience in a similar position
Advanced Knowledge in MS Excel, Word, Visio, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access and Adobe products
Excellent writing skills and command of the English language
Fast, efficient and accurate in all correspondence with customers, suppliers etc.
Any prior knowledge of the automotive industry and government/private tenders will also be useful
Knowledge of social media (including Facebook, twitter etc), Google Adwords, Mailchimp, SEO & SEM is a big plus
Must have worked in a busy office environment

Qualifications
Degree in Finance.
Must have done CPA section 2 and above.
1-2 years of Experience with extensive Experience.
Must be mature, result Oriented, keen to details and be able to commit themselves fully to the duties assigned.
Should posses excellent communication, organization and interpersonal skills.
Experience in manufacturing company will be an added advantage.
Must be 25 years and above.
