AIDS Healthcare Foundation ART Nurse Careers in Ethiopia
Responsibilities:Major duties and responsibilities:Ensure the provision of comprehensive, quality, evidence based ART, PMTCT, TB/HIV co management, OI management, and Prevention with positive (Pwp), STI/SCM), care for HEI, management of malnutrition, HIV FP integration, retention to care, treatment failure, MDR-TB etc
Refill the regular medication for patients who do not need physician attention and facilitate the physician consultation as needed
Support community component of the program including outreaches and mobilization for care and treatment
Participate in review meetings and Catchment Area Meetings as required and share the experience and resolution to MDAT
Provide adherence counseling during initiation of ART and on follow up visits
Take part in the Adherence Support Group activities: Recruitment, coordination of meeting, reviewing reports…
Facilitate disclosure of HIV test result with designate patient supporter or partner/family
Participate in the referral and linkage of patient for community service and within the facility.
Qualifications:
Education, Qualification, and Experience
Diploma in Clinical Nursing from a recognized institution; having BSc or midwifery or other health background is an added advantage
At least three years’ experience in HIV program activities, with particular emphasis on ART service delivery, in a similar international NGO or developmental agency
Training on ART would be a necessity; additional training on PMTCT, HCT and TB/HIV, MDR TB, Nutritional management for PLHIV is an advantage
Enjoys working as a member of a cohesive multi-cultural team
Basic computer/software skills and abilities required
Good communication skills in English and Amharic

Takes the role of managing data entry of all AHF-Ethiopia HCT data into the electronic data base; Clean data base and registers regularly
Work with the Prevention Team and AHF Data Unit to fix inconsistencies/errors identified in the data received from all outreach and clinic testing sites
Assist the organizations’ Data Team in distributing reporting formats to respective units; Preparing and collecting reports from required units; Archiving reports
Ensure the confidentiality of data and seek authorization from the concerned units whenever there is a need to share any information
Assist to ensure all data capturing formats and register are available at all time; Regularly check stock and request reprinting/delivery timely
Collaborate with Prevention Team in data analysis and utilization; preparing raw data in such a way that it can easily be used
Generate monthly HCT report to AHF Office and
sub-cities using respective formats
Document and report all incidents arising to the supervisor immediately for appropriate action to be taken
Execute other data related activities as given by the Counselor Coordinators or Prevention Program Manager
Qualifications:
Education, Qualification, and Experience
BSC or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Statistics, or other Computer related fields
Minimum of two years working experience in an international NGO working on HIV/AIDS programs
Should have adequate knowledge in use of applications like MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access and Internet Explorer with some computer troubleshooting skills
Enjoys working as a member of a cohesive multi-cultural team, and is good at doing so
Good communication skills in English and Amhari

Responsibilities:
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide transportation functions to AHF-Ethiopia Programs with particular focus for the outreach program and AHF-supported sites
Assist in providing regular transport services to AHF-Ethiopia Employees, AHF guests from Africa Bureau/HQ, other partners and stakeholders as necessary
Picks-up, drops-off, and delivers HIV testing supplies, documents, quotes, invoices, financial reports, logistical requirements
Maintains vehicle logbook, submit monthly logbook summary sheet, accounting for all mileage and fuel consumption/ costs
Qualifications:

Valid driving license with at least 3 years working experience with NGOs working in Ethiopia; Having further educational level may be considered as an added advantage

AIDS Healthcare Foundation Pediatrician Careers in Ethiopia
Responsibilities:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Strong desire or inclination to work with children, especially those with HIV
Provide quality care and treatment to HIV infected children and their families
Provide PMTCT services to HIV infected pregnant and breastfeeding women who are attending the clinic as recommended by the national PMTCT guidelines.
Ensure that proper care is provided for HIV-exposed infants:
Ensure that all HIV-exposed infants are provided with ARV prophylaxis and cotrimoxazole
Ensure that all HIV-exposed infants are routinely tested with DNA PCR through sample referral.
Ensure that infants whose DNA result is positive are initiated on ART according to the national guideline.
Qualifications:
MD/Pediatrician with five years’ experience in HIV/AIDS care delivery and program management
Ability to establish and maintain excellent work relationship
Strong interpersonal communication skills
Proficiency in written and spoken English.
Basic computer knowledge with ability to use the MS office
