Job Description

Ahadukes Food Product S.C. is a manufacturing company primarily engaged in food products, Biscuits and Pasta in Bishoftu town of Oromia state.

It is a joint investment between Ahadu P.L.C & UK based Vasari investment Group. We hence, invite qualified applicants for the following vacant position.

Role purpose general: To supervises and coordinates activities of mechanics engaged in maintaining and repairing mechanical parts of machinery and equipment.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Supervises the activities of the assigned staff /crew, gives the technical direction and guidance for safe trouble shooting and repair jobs.

Inspects defective part/ equipment to determine extent of wear or damage.

Operates machines and other equipment to observe operation and diagnose malfunctions or to test repaired equipment.

Establishes schedules and methods for providing preventive maintenance and repair services; identifies resource needs; reviews needs with the maintenance manager; allocates resources.

Minimizes mechanical downtime and optimize preventive maintenance efforts.

Studies blueprints and diagrams in order to plan material and labour needed to accomplish maintenance/repair.

Develops specifications from general description of parts of assemblies to be fabricated and draws or sketches device to be made.

Participates in the preparation and administration of the plant maintenance program budget; submits budget recommendations for mechanical maintenance activities.

Liaises with Electrical Maintenance and Production teams to ensure co-ordination of activities to meet the needs of workload demands across the factory.

Participates in the preparation of specifications and selection of maintenance and repair equipment.

Maintain safety, quality and housekeeping in side mechanical workshop and job areas as well.

Trains subordinates/maintenance staff and insure their competency for the required job.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Qualification: First Degree in Mechanical engineering

Experience:

A minimum of 4 years’ experience in maintenance activity in an industrial maintenance environment preferably in a food/ Biscuit manufacturing facility.
