Position SummaryUnder the direct supervision of the Assistance manager and according to Agropia tasks, he/ she is responsible for install, maintain and repair electrical power, communications, lighting, and control systems, analyze and detect electrical problems.
Usually, work with a team of technicians and mechanic and should know how to work with indoor and outdoor electrical components
Work Detail
Electricians use a variety of industry-specific tools to perform their tasks, including ammeters, voltmeters, thermal scanners, and cable testers
Ensure efficient and effective maintenance services of all Generator sets (Including servicing, troubleshooting, fault finding, and repairs)
Repairs electrical faults in generators, alternators, pumps, electric motors, and low voltage switchboards.
Installs and maintains the generator wiring, electric motors, and machines
Daily Inspect generators to identify faults, maintain, service, replace parts, and repair official generators as directed in accordance with the manufacturer recommendations and schedule
Inspect electrical components including transformers and circuit breakers
Use testing devices to identify and report electrical problems
Repair or replace wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools.
Complete the given work orders on time
Perform business management duties such as maintaining records and files, preparing reports, and ordering supplies and equipment.
Install, maintain, and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems.
Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.
Follow National Electrical Code state and regulations.
Circuit breaker corrective maintenance.
Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
Good knowledge
of various test equipment.
Connect Generator wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
Prepare sketches or follow blueprints to determine the location of wiring and equipment and to ensure conformance to building and safety codes.
5S implementation and supervision
Understanding company rule and regulation and implement carefully
Job Requirements
High school diploma, TVET, or equivalent qualification
Certification from a vocational school
Strong attention to detail with an aptitude for problem-solving.
Work more than 5 years for TVET College
4 years’ experience with electrical engineering at related cleaning machine and generator installation
Exceptional communication and customer service skills
Ability to perform electrical tests, read results and diagnose and repair electrical problems
Problem-solving and excellent fault finding and diagnostic skills.
Circuit knowledge and inspects maintains and repairs generator sets
Time Management
Strong work ethic and working on generators
A strong commitment to all health and safety guidelines
know and apply the current safety requirements
Certificate showing technical competency installation, repair, and maintenance of diesel generators
Strong sense of responsibility/ strong sense of professionalism.
Very good communication skill
A strong commitment to all health and safety guidelines
Valid certification is preferred
Good professional ethics such as Open-minded, Passion/desire/enthusiasm, Self-esteem, Confidence/self-reliance, Honest.
