The Aga Khan University (AKU) is a private, not-for-profit, international University first established in 1983, with 11 campuses and teaching sites in 8 countries.
The University is a non-denominational institution open to all, irrespective of religion, ethnicity, gender or national origin. Since 2001, AKU has offered academic programmes in nursing, medicine and education for and in countries in East Africa.
Reporting to the Academic I lead, the incumbent will primarily be involved in teaching, research and practice in our programmes.
A key focus of this role is contribution to research capacity building among faculty and contribution to the development and approval of programmes to Masters level.
S/he will also be expected to serve in the University's academic committees and participate in multidisciplinary activities. In addition, they will be responsible for quality assurance, curriculum development and be actively involved in contributing to the nursing profession nationally, regionally and internationally.
