The Aga Khan University (AKU) is a private, not for profit, International University first established in 1983, with 11 teaching sites in eight countries.

The Medical College in East Africa is part of a visionary plan to create a comprehensive university in East Africa with a health sciences regional hub in Nairobi and campuses in Dar es Salaam and Kampala.

The PRECISE (Pregnancy Care Integrating Translational Science, Everywhere) study is a multisite (Kenya, Mozambique and The Gambia) observational study established by the PRECISE Network, a new and broadly-based group of research scientists and health advocates mainly based in the UK and Africa.

In Kenya, the study will be led by the Centre of Excellence in Women and Child Health (CoEWCH) (EA) of the AKU in collaboration with the Kilifi County Department of Health services and the International Centre for Reproductive Health (ICRH), Kenya.

These positions will be based primarily at field sites in Kilifi County (Mariakani and Rabai health facilities and Kaloleni and Rabai sub-counties) with affiliation to the AKU, Mombasa Research Office.
