Director, Public Relations and Communications

Aga Khan University Hospital, Nairobi is a private not-for-profit teaching hospital that provides tertiary and secondary level healthcare services.

It is the first hospital in East Africa to be accredited by the Joint Commission International from the USA.

The University Hospital has been providing high quality care for the people of East Africa and beyond for over 60 years.

Position Summary

As custodian of the seal and identity of the institution, the Director, Public Relations (PR) and Communication is responsible for the development of the overall strategic public relations programme including overseeing the quality and clarity of communications materials whilst protecting the image and reputation of the institution to advance awareness of its mission and pragrammes to current and potential stakeholders.

Qualifications, Experience and Competencies

MBA or Master's Degree in Communications and/or Marketing

Minimum 10 years of work experience in a busy marketing or PR environment

Experience in Africa /across cultures in developing countries

Ability to integrate PR programs to support marketing goals and objectives

Positive team approach to working with industry and government partners.
