Position Summary:
Reporting to the Mecical Director, as head of the department s/he will ensure dental clinical services are delivered in an efficient an¢ effective manner including high end implantclogy procedures. Ensure the quality of the clinical services 's delivered, improve the quality of patient care through role modeling, support the sustainability of the programs, and develop evidence-based clinical care guidelines and a culture of continucus quality improvement.
HOD Responsibilities & Task Description:
Hire, train, develop, mentor and supervise all dentists hygienists and dental techricians for the main hospital and outreach centres, to manage operations to the highest level of competence and set up, organize, and manage services effective,
Achieve Departmental objectives for clinical services, academic and teaching roles.
Develop and implement departmental polices and procedures, protocols and guidelines.
Oversee all financial operations inclucing billing and coding and meet annual budgets.
Manage departmental quality agenda ensuring
compliance with all quality standards.
The Responsibilities of Dental Implantology:
Provide efficient and effective cutpatient services including full scale Implantology services including full arch, bone graft and sinus lifts.
Diagnosing, treating and preventing oral and dental disease and malformations
Examine teeth, gums, and related tissues, using dental instruments, x-rays and other diagnostic equipment, to evaluate dental health, diagnose diseases or abnormalities, and plan and deliver appropriate treatments
Academic/Education/Experience Required:
Atleast Bachelor of Medicine and/or Bachelor of Surgery in Dentistry.
Fellowship or other specialty in implantology.
5-10 years’ experience in dental practice.
