Job DescriptionStructural and Geotechnical design and report production with due consideration of relevant codes, concepts and in-house standards
Structural detailing and drawing of structural works
Supporting structural design team in solving structural problems by doing overall conceptual assessment, detail design calculations, detailing and possibly author control supervision of construction execution.
Applying different established and new engineering principles, codes, standards and software manuals as deemed necessary
Following-up detail drafting
Working closely with project leaders for the accomplishment of tasks.
This is paid internship with monthly pocket money.
Job Requirements
Qualification and Profile:
M.Sc. in Geotechnical Engineering
Applicants who have finished their coursework and are left with their thesis are welcome to apply
Willingness to work on structural design is required
Well versed in the use of MS Office, MS Windows, the internet(for browsing and e-mails), one structural application software and one drafting software
Well-versed in the use of current building code standards and/or bridge design manual (like ERA’s Bridge Design Manual)
Geotechnical investigation experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Working according to quality system of AEE and including:
Structural and geotechnical design of civil constructions
Structural design and report production with due consideration of relevant codes, concepts, and in-house standards
Structural detailing and drawing of structural works
Supporting structural design team in solving structural problems by doing overall conceptual assessment, detail design calculations, detailing, and possibly author control supervision of construction execution.
Reading, understanding, and applying different engineering principles, codes, standards, and software manuals as deemed necessary
Following-up detail drafting
Structural modeling, CAD & BIM
Working closely with project leaders for the accomplishment of tasks.
