Job Title
RADIOLOGY TECHNICIAN

Responsibilities:

A Radiology Technician is targeted to fill this position. Under the supervision of the Head of Division Medical
Support Services, the Radiology Technician will be responsible for the following:

Receive patients, accept the request through the Integrated Medical Record System and perform
different X-Ray examinations;

Able to use the Picture Achieving System

Able to operate Fluoroscope, CR, Panoramic Dental X-Ray, Mammography, CT Scan and MRI.

Prepare patients for the required special examinations such as IVP, etc. by giving them the proper instructions and colonic lavage (cleansing enema) when necessary;

Assist the radiologist in fluoroscopic examinations.

Check the stock and request for items that the unit needs;

Give the required attention and care to the equipment as required by the manufacturer.

To perform any other relevant duties assigned by the immediate Supervisor

Requirements

University Diploma in Radiography with 8 years of experience as X-Ray Technician and Advanced
operation of Radio Imaging Equipment’s such as Panoramic Dental X-Ray, Mammography, CT Scan, MRI and Bone scanner is an added advantage. Candidates must be licensed to practice as X-Ray Technician in his/her
country as at the time of application and Experience/exposure as an X-Ray Technician in an international
organization or practice in a multicultural context will be an advantage

Must be computer literate and have excellent use of continuous medical education tools including internet based ones.

Must have hands on experience/ exposure to telemedicine.

Must have excellent interpersonal skills, ability to organize and motivate others, and work in a multicultural environment,

Must have good communication skills with patients, colleagues and the clients.

Proficiency in one of the African Union working languages (Arabic, English, French and Portuguese) is required.

Knowledge of one or more of the other AU working languages would be an added advantage.
