Africa Enterprise Challenge Fund Senior Procurement Officer Jobs in Kenya; The Senior Procurement Officer will be responsible for supporting the procurement of services.This role will report to the Procurement Manager.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure every procurement of services adheres to AECF’s procurement policy, procedures, donor regulations and procurement best practices.

Support the end-to-end procurement process from reviewing purchase requisitions, terms of references, requests for proposals, bid requests, bid submission, and analysis, facilitating evaluation committees, and documenting the procurement decision (tender evaluation report preparation) and service order preparations.

Negotiate with suppliers and consultants to ensure AECF achieves value for money with each procurement.

Setting up of vendors in the ERP and supporting vendors in the AECF vendor portal.

Prepare contracts for review by end users, vendors, and the legal team.

Carry out compliance checks and due diligence for consultants and potential suppliers.

Plan for vendor inception meetings.

Review procurement documents for completeness, accuracy, reasonableness, and validity.

Ensure procurement documents are stored or archived in the right folders.

Ensure timely processing of supplier payments (services) and reconciliation of reimbursable costs for consultants.

Ensure the conflict-of-interest policy is upheld throughout the procurement process.

Suitable candidates should:

Possess

a bachelor's degree in procurement or any other relevant field.

Have a minimum of seven (7) years of experience in the procurement of goods, services, and travel.

Be a member of a professional body (KISM or CIPS) and in good standing.

Possess knowledge of ERP and MS Excel.

Have experience in procurement in an international donor-funded organization.

Experience in procurement of services across African countries.

Be fluent in English for effective communication is required. Knowledge of French will be an added advantage.

Possess exceptional organizational and negotiation skills.

Demonstrate ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.
