AFIDEP is a regional non-profit research and policy Institute whose mission is to institutionalize a culture of consistent use of evidence in public policy formulation and implementation to address various development challenges in Africa.

Our work focuses on five thematic areas namely:

Population Dynamics and Demographic Dividend, Health and Wellbeing. Transformative Education and Skills Development, Environment and Climate Change, and Governance and Accountability.

The Institute is registered as a Non-Governmental Organisation in Kenya and Malawi where it has offices and in the USA as a 5013 non-profit organization.

AFIDEP is looking to recruit suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the positions listed below.

Job details

• The Research and Policy Office Associate will serve as a programme officer and manage design of field Instruments, oversee fieldwork and data analysis, and contribute to writing research reports report for the Kenya component of an exciting four-country research project on traditional methods of contraception in West and East Africa.

Job requirements

• Applicants should have a Master's degree in either Demography, Social Statistics, Sociology, Epidemiology Economics, or related

social sciences. A formal training in technical demography is required.

• Candidates should also have a minimum of three years' experience in managing large scale surveys and qualitative data collection, and demonstrable experience in quantitative and qualitative analysis and in writing quality research reports and policy-oriented products.
