Call for Expression of Interest

Affordable Housing Institute (AHI) is supporting an initiative for access to low cost housing by populations at the base of the pyramid.

The initiative is based on supporting companies and service providers in the Housing value chain to innovate and pass on solutions down market.

In the coming weeks, AHI intends to identify 2 companies / organisations in 5 subsectors (ISSB, EPS Panels, Sanitation, solar and clean cook stoves) to support going down market in low cost housing solutions.

The companies will be required to demonstrate deep understanding of the demand aspects in the low cost housing segment, clearly articulate gaps and opportunities and propose solutions that can be implemented to address the identified gaps sustainably to both the target group and the company.

Selected companies will also demonstrate willingness to engage in contributing to development oriented objectives, willingness to cascade downstream and contribute to meeting low cost housing needs, depth and knowledge on relevant issues and their level of interest to the target group and Influence and power in relation to the strategic thrust of Habitat for Humanity.
