Our Client, Kenya's newest printing business is the first of its kind having been formed through a merger of several well-established leading printing companies. Once launched, the Company will offer clients - both existing and new - a full-range of off-set, digital, large format printing as well as branded promotional items. They are seeking to recruit a Finance Manager.

The Finance Manager reports to the Chief Financial Officer. The incumbent will be responsible for the financial management function of the Company through planning, managing and optimizing financial resources. He/She will be tasked with ensuring smooth financial operations of the organization through implementing proper internal controls, cash flows management, financial commitments and obligations whilst reporting to the Directors and other stakeholders in a timely and accurate manner.

Responsibilities

Manage the preparation of the company’s budget by providing leadership in financial forecasting, budgets planning and consolidation of various inputs and reporting D

Develop forecasts for all key financial matters and provide timely and accurate financial budgets for the organization

Maintain the overall budgetary discipline over OPEX and CAPEX through the regular monitoring of overall expenditure levels/ trends and critical review of expenditure, before effecting payment

Develop and implement optimal financial controls, policies and procedures across the company ensuring adherence to safeguard company resources. Additionally, advise management on needed actions

Provide recommendations to management that strategically enhance financial performance and business opportunities – areas of improvement and costs control

Develop reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism.

Maintain custody of the company financial records, prepare and present financial reports as per the timetable and ensure that these are line with best practice

Enhance and enforce financial policies and procedures, statutory and regulatory requirements by way of systems

that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the Company. Advise management on needed actions

Manage the audit process liaising with auditors to ensure a well- executed audit process. Follow up and implement internal and external audits issues raised in their respective reports

Provide leadership and oversee the day-to-day operations of the finance department, set goals and objectives for departmental staff

Implement, monitor and facilitate performance management programs and introduce employee talent management programs

Requirements

Bachelors degree preferably in business or related field;

Relevant professional qualification (CPA (K)/ACCA or an equivalent); and

Member of a relevant professional body.

At least ten (10) years finance and accounting experience, three (3) of which should be at a managerial level

Hands on experience in financial planning, forecasting, managing financial controls and directing organizational budgets with excellent financial management skills

Working knowledge and exposure to financial reporting standards like IFRS, IAS and Kenyan Tax laws

Ability to outline and communicate effective objectives and action plans

IT savvy and a proficient user of finance software

Strategic and analytical thinking skills

Excellent management and leadership skills;

Excellent management report writing and presentation skills
