Our Client, Kenya's newest printing business is the first of its kind having been formed through a merger of several well-established leading printing companies. Once launched, the Company will offer clients - both existing and new - a full-range of off-set, digital, large format printing as well as branded promotional items. They are seeking to recruit an Estimator.

The Estimator reports to the Chief Planning and Operations Officer. You will be responsible for preparing cost estimates by analyzing proposals and requirements. You will support the sales team in costing assignments and providing cost analysis results to assist in decision making.

Responsibilities

Review and evaluate cost estimates and identify changes in the cost of production will be incurred and collate information on the requirements needed in production of materials.

Design, review and maintain rate sheets

Design and use computer software to calculate estimates, conduct data analysis, forecasting and budgeting

Take an active role in understanding any changes in the cost of component parts of the products provided and ensure these are reflected in the rates generated

Work with sales teams to prepare estimates and bids for clients and support them in the determination the requirements of their clients;

Conduct market research and provide detailed

reports on costing to inform the organization about the profitability of the production.

Support sales team with accurate and commercially viable job order costing for proposals and tender documentation

Work with the project team to by providing cost information, developing estimates and planning on project duration.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce or related field

At least three (3) years’ experience in estimation in a similar industry

Extremely task-oriented, efficient and able to prioritize, manage and follow projects through to completion

Ability to analyzing information and reporting for decision making

Knowledge of print production facilities requirements, processes and operations

Results driven with accuracy and attention to detail
