ACTION Trial Project Study Nurses Jobs in Nakuru and Mombasa, Kenya

The ACTION Trial project is a WHO Multi Country Trial to be conducted for a period of two (2) years in four hospitals in Kenya which include Thika level 5 hospital, Kiambu level 5 hospital, Nakuru level 5 hospital and Coast Provincial General hospital.



Qualifications


  • Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education or its equivalent with a pass in English
  • The applicant must have a diploma in Kenya
  • Registered Nurse Midwife or Kenya
  • Registered Community Health Nurse or a degree in Bachelor of Science, Nursing

    Experience

  • At least 2 years working experience post qualification in a busy maternity unit
  • Applicants with training and experience in research and IT will have added advantage

    Among other duties the applicant will be required to:-

  • Work closely with the ACTION Investigators, Study Coordinator and the Data Manager
  • Based in the following County hospitals: Nakuru, Coast
  • Work closely with the staff of labour ward to:
  • Recruit and randomize study participants
    Collect data
  • Maintain registers of randomized clients
  • There will be two (2) nurses in Nakuru site; three(3) in Mombasa site (Nakuru level 5 hospital and Coast Provincial General hospital)
