ACTED NGO Director of Operations and Fundraising Unit Jobs in Kenya


Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver a comprehensive and coherent fundraising strategy for the organisation.
  • Disseminate Donors guidelines and ensure that commitments to international donors are met
  • Liaise regularly with Country Coordinators, Project Development Manager Project Managers and technical staff to ensure the production of quality reports across areas and across Donors;
  • Ensuring the Production of Timely, Accurate and Analytical Reports for Donors Implement the Operational Strategy
  • Ensure that all standard ACTED worldwide policies and procedures are followed
  • Supervise and supped field coordMators and heads of support departments in Nairobi and in Somalia
  • Create and introduce country-specific procedures as appropriate for the contexts of intervention
  • Ensure organizational development strategy is in place and being implemented to moo team performance
  • Work closely with logistics team to ensure systems are in place for procurement, fleet management asset management, and stock management
  • Work closely with Finance Managers to follow up on budgets, accounting, and strategic financial planning
  • Work closely with Human Resourse Team to ensure that a staff development and capadty building program is in place
  • Perform other relevant duties.

    Qualifications

  • Master Level education in a relevant
    field such as International Relations or Development Extensive project management experience (management, planning, staff development and training skills) in emergency and/or development programmes
  • At least 5 to 10 years of working experience in high management position. Demonstrated communication and organizational skills;
  • Ability to train, mobilize, and manage both intemational and national staff Flexibility and ability to multi-task under pressure;
  • Ability to work well in unstable and frequently changing security environments;
  • Willingness to work and Hoe M often remote areas under basic conditions; Proven ability to work creatively and independently both in the field and M the office;
  • Advanced proficiency M written and spoken English
