Duties and Responsibilities
  • Management of petty cash transactions.
  • Controlling credit and ensuring debtors pay on time.
  • Reconciliation of direct debits and finance accounts.
  • Ensuring all payments amounts & records are accurate.
  • Preparation of statutory accounts.
  • Working with journals, sales & purchase ledgers and spreadsheets.
  • Preparation of financial reports.
  • Prepare payslips
  • Management of petty cash transactions.
  • Controlling credit and ensuring debtors pay on time.
  • Reconciliation of direct debits and finance accounts.
  • Ensuring all payments amounts & records are accurate.
  • Preparation of statutory accounts.
  • Process payroll information associated with newly hired employees, terminated employees, wage verification, withholding allowances, pay rate changes, status changes, benefit deductions, payroll garnishments and direct deposits.
  • Calculate salary and overtime.
  • Calculate net wages after taking into consideration deductions and exemptions.
  • Prepare tax reports
  • Reconciliation of accounts and accuracy of accounts
  • Conduct payroll audits

    Knowledge and Skills:
  • Solid knowledge of accounts payable; billing; budgets; payroll and taxes
  • Have an eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Good computer skills: MS Word, Excel, QuickBooks,
  • Mastery over numbers and being quick with numerical calculations.
  • Knowledge of salaries, wages and bonuses of different categories for employees of the organization.
  • Have a high level of integrity, as they will know about the earnings of many employees; confidentiality.

    Educational Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in accounting (accounts payable/payroll).
