Description

Responsible for overseeing all surveying activities related to road construction projects to contribute to the successful completion of project by providing essential geospatial information and insights.

Ensurie accurate measurements, data collection, and mapping to support project planning, design, and execution.

Provide expert leadership in surveying activities, ensuring that construction projects are accurately aligned, graded, and executed according to design specifications.

Job Roles and Responsibilities:

• Survey Strategy: Develop and execute survey strategies for road construction projects.

• Team Leadership: Manage and lead the survey team, providing guidance and mentoring.

• Survey Planning: Plan survey activities, including topographic, boundary, and construction surveys.

• Data Collection: Ensure accurate and efficient data collection using surveying instruments and GPS technology.

• Mapping and Alignment: Create precise measurements, drawings, and maps for road construction elements.

• Quality Control: Verify accuracy of survey data and ensure adherence to industry standards.

• Collaboration: Coordinate with engineers, designers, and project managers to provide accurate survey data.

• Advanced Survey Techniques: Implement advanced survey techniques as needed for complex projects.

• Technology Integration: Incorporate emerging survey technologies to enhance accuracy and efficiency.

• Training and Development: Provide training and professional development opportunities for the survey team.

• Collaboration: Coordinate with construction teams to communicate test results and provide recommendations.

• Performs any other duty as assigned by the supervisor from time to time.

• Survey Accuracy: Ensuring accurate measurements and alignment of road construction elements.

• Quality of Mapping: Providing detailed and accurate maps and drawings.

• Team Performance: Efficient and effective performance of the survey team.

• Project Efficiency: Supporting project efficiency

through accurate surveying data.

• Advanced Techniques: Successful implementation of advanced survey techniques when required.

Work Experience, Skills and Knowledge:

• Surveying Expertise: In-depth knowledge of surveying methods, techniques, and instruments.

• Leadership Skills: Ability to lead and manage a survey team effectively.

• Advanced Survey Techniques: Proficiency in implementing advanced survey techniques.

• Geospatial Data Analysis: Skill in analyzing and interpreting survey data.

• Communication Skills: Clear and effective communication with all stakeholders.

• Problem-Solving: Addressing complex surveying challenges and finding solutions.

• Technology Integration: Knowledge of integrating emerging survey technologies for efficiency.

• Safety Awareness: Prioritizing safety during surveying activities.

• Coordination Skills: Effective collaboration with engineers and project managers.

• Training and Development: Providing training and development opportunities for the survey team.

• Professionalism: Maintain a high level of professionalism and integrity in all interactions.

• Working experience: Possession 10 years working experience of which 5 of them at a supervisory level
