Job Summary

To manage the delivery of capital risk management objectives for the Group, and execute business-as-usual processes within the Group Capital Risk team.

This includes managing the delivery of change initiatives relating to the oversight of regulatory and economic capital demand measurement, framework design, preparation and maintenance of supporting policies and standards, design of risk measurement methodologies, as well as review and challenge of governance, methodologies, process and controls for risk types not owned centrally.

Job Description

Support the design and implementation of the Capital and Liquidity risk framework.

Manage the operational integration of capital risk oversight responsibilities, including the development and reporting of key metrics for quantifying the risk demand profile of the Group.

Execute the day-to-day capital risk responsibilities through ongoing monitoring, review and challenge of the Group’s risk demand profile.

Support the oversight and ongoing maintenance of regulatory and economic capital policies, standards, processes, controls, methodologies and risk reporting as defined within the Enterprise Risk Management and Capital & Liquidity Risk frameworks.

Engage with risk teams across the Group to ensure that policies, standards, processes and control requirements defined by the capital & liquidity risk framework are in place, documented and understood by all relevant members of the risk management teams.

Actively participate and deliver capital risk input in the Group's key strategic processes ( e.g. integrated planning, outlook processes, internal/external reporting).

Actively participate and deliver capital risk input into the Group's programs, projects and ad-hoc initiatives where required.

Report and monitor the capital risk profile to relevant committees, assess drivers of change for the risk profile, escalate risk appetite

breaches and monitor the remediation activities defined by risk types, legal entities and business units against agreed milestones.

Actively participate and drive risk input delivery into the Group's ICAAP process, ensure that inputs are of acceptable quality and that appropriate governance and controls.

Build and maintain collaborative relationships with key stakeholders across the Group.

Ensure ongoing compliance with BCBS 239 principles for effective risk data aggregation and risk reporting.

Prepare quarterly submissions to the Group's committees as required.

On-going monitoring of capital optimisation initiatives to identify and mitigate the build-up of risk demand inefficiencies relating to data quality, process, methodology and business performance. Support the embedment of the capital & liquidity risk framework requirements across the Group. This includes participating in workshops and training sessions to ensure the objectives and required outcomes are adequately communicated and understood.

Ensure that governance and control requirements within the capital risk team comply with the relevant frameworks (e.g. Operational and resilience risk framework)

Education

Bachelor`s Degrees and Advanced Diplomas: Business, Commerce and Management Studies (Required)
