ABNO Softwares International Project Manager Jobs in Kenya; The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, executing and delivering custom software projects on time, within budget and to customer satisfaction. The Project Manager will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams: business analysts, designers, engineers and testers to ensure clarity of requirements, effective resource management and seamless communication with stakeholders. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background, excellent people management skills and a minimum of 5 years’ project management experience with certifications such as PRINCE2 or PMP.

Roles and Responsibilities

Project Planning & Coordination

*Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, objectives, timelines, budget estimates and resource allocation.


Identify project risks, issues and dependencies; create mitigation strategies to ensure smooth delivery.
Execution & Delivery

*Lead and manage cross-functional project teams (e.g., software engineers, QA, designers, BAs) through all phases of the project lifecycle.

*Track progress against milestones and deliverables, adjusting plans as needed to maintain alignment with project goals.

Stakeholder Management

*Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, providing regular status updates and facilitating transparent communication.

*Manage client expectations and gather feedback to ensure project objectives meet or exceed quality standards.

Technical Oversight

*Collaborate with technical leads and architects to understand solution requirements, contribute to solution design and ensure technical feasibility.

*Ensure project teams follow best practices in software development, testing and deployment.

Budget & Resource Management

*Develop and monitor project budgets, tracking expenditures and ensuring optimal use of resources.

*Collaborate with HR or
department leads to staff projects effectively, balancing skill sets and availability.

Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement

*Ensure project deliverables meet defined quality standards and comply with relevant regulations or best practices.

*Conduct post-project reviews to capture lessons learned and refine processes for improved future delivery.

People & Team Management

*Motivate project teams, resolve conflicts and foster a positive, collaborative work environment.

*Provide coaching, mentoring and performance feedback to team members (in collaboration with functional managers).

Reporting & Documentation

*Maintain detailed project documentation, including schedules, risk registers, status reports and change requests.

*Prepare and present comprehensive project updates to senior management and key stakeholders.

Skills and Experience

Education & Certifications

*Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience

*5+ years of experience in project management, particularly in software development or IT solutions.

*Proven track record of delivering complex, bespoke or custom-built software projects on time and within budget.
