A Government entity Deputy, Director Petroleum Jobs in Kenya

A Government entity is seeking to recruit a suitably qualified Kenyan citizen to fill the following vacant position

1. Deputy, Director Petroleum - Grade 3 (1 Position on Contract Terms)

Reporting to the Head of Directorate, the successful candidate will be responsible for inter alias developing and implementing standards, codes of practice and sub sector frameworks and guiding research in the sub sector in the country.

Key Responsibilities

(i) Coordinating the implementation of the monitoring programs.

(ii) Providing leadership in the development of standards and code of practice for sub sector.

(iii) Coordinating assessment of sub sector facilities.

(iv) Coordinating technical investigation of accidents in the sub-sector and provide root cause analysis plus mitigation measures to prevent recurrence.

(v) Undertaking other duties related to the sub-sector as may be assigned.

Qualifications & Skills required

(i) At least 10 years' related work experience, five (5) of which must be at management position: (e) A Bachelors Degree in any of the following engineering disciplines: Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical. Civil or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.

(iii) A Master's Degree in any of the following engineering disciplines: Chemical. Electrical, Mechanical. Civil or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution:

(iv) Demonstration of results in work performance:

(v) Professional qualification, membership with a legally recognized professional body and in good standing:

(vi) Management course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution,

(vii) Proficiency in Computer applications skills: and

(viii) Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.

(ix) Personal attributes such as: strategic thinking, analytical skills, excellent communication and reporting skills, good managerial skills and ability to lead teams, mentoring, coaching and leadership skills, interpersonal and negotiation skills and a team player Mandatory Requirements Applicants Must provide the following documents on application:

ii) A detailed CV indicating their current and previous employers. positions held. current and expected salary, level of education and names of at least three professional referees

iii) Copies of academic and professional certificates

iv) Copy of National Identification Card or Passport

v) Valid Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations

vi) Valid Clearance Certificate from Higher Education Loans Board (HELB)

vii) Valid Tax Compliance Certificate from Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA)

viii) Current Clearance from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC): and

ix) Current Report from an approved Credit Reference Bureau (CRB).
