Minimum Requirements
Advanced university degree in economics, agricultural economics, business administration, international relations, public administration or other relevant field.
A minimum of 7 years working experience in the field of industry and in technical cooperation with developing countries particularly in project formulation, design, implementation and evaluation, some of which at a senior and/or international level. Experience in UN system is desirable.
Fluency in French and working knowledge of English is an asset.

2. National Programme Officer, NO-B
Country: Mozambique
Minimum Requirements
Advanced university degree in business administration, economics or engineering.
A minimum of three years of working experience in the field of industrial, local economic development, agro-industry, or Micro Small or Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Mozambique, with special emphasis on investment promotion, trade capacity building; technology promotion; or private sector development. Advanced knowledge of the country. Sound knowledge of the UN system roles and functions and the Dao initiative under implementation in Mozambique.

Minimum Requirements
Advanced university degree in economics, business management and administration or other relevant field.
A minimum of five years of progressively responsible professional experience both in programme management or a related field and media relations (communication/information) activities. Adequate knowledge of Government working procedures in the area of sustainable industrial development with emphasis on youth employment and vocational training.
Sound knowledge and experience in project development and formulation. Good knowledge of national institutions and excellent public relations.
Fluency in French and English (both oral and written) is required. Knowledge of main local languages prevalent in most areas of the country is desirable.

Leather and Leather Products Technology Institute
The Integrated Programme for Private Sector Development and Enhanced Competitiveness places a special emphasis on Textile and Garments, Leather & Leather Products and Food Processing. The challenge is to transform the structure of the economy from dependence in agriculture to industry and services in line with Ethiopia's long-term development strategy and executed by UNIDO
It seeks to recruit a:
1. Director
Based at: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
Duties of the Director (LLPI)
Implement the decisions of the Board of Directors.
Ensure proper functioning and development of the LLPI
be responsible for the proper management of the administration and finances of the LLPI.
Collect, store and disseminate information relating to livestock population and its off-take rates, tanneries and leather products industries as well as material inputs for the leather products.
Promote training of personnel for the leather industry at various levels including the levels of tannery supervisors, production managers, quality control specialists, skilled operators, leather technologist, leather goods technicians and designers and leather engineers for the maintenance of machinery and equipment for the manufacture of footwear and other leather products.
Promote research and development along the value chain from hides and skins to finished products, work method and indigenous chemicals and materials used in leather manufacture, the testing and evaluation and development leather and leather products
promote the use of the know-how and transfer of technology on new leather and leather products design.
Provide consultancy services to the leather industry.
Conduct tailor made short courses based on the actual requirements of the industry in the sub-region.
Prepare and submit the budget of the LLPI to the Board of Directors, prepare annual progress reports of the LLPI for submission to the Council of Ministers.
Undertake, on his own initiative or as may be assigned to him/her by the Board of Directors, such work and studies and perform such services as they relate to the LLPI and the implementation of the provisions of the Charter.
Qualifications
The candidate should possess a minimum of Post Graduate/Masters Degree in Business Management or Business Administration or relevant field with a degree in either Economics or Industrial Engineering with good working knowledge of the Leather sector.
A PhD would be an added advantage.
The candidates should be able to speak English or French while a working knowledge on the other language will be an added advantage.
15 years of professional experience in the relevant field with at least 10 years of these held in high level management position.
The ideal candidate should have strong networking, advocacy, analytical, report writing and organizational skills with a good understanding of Regional Integration and economic development.
