- to combine simulations of solidification with those of deformation/forming and
- to combine simulations of solidification with those of heat treatment/fatigue.
Such links will close the existing gaps of the numerical production chain description for cylinder heads, crankshafts and hot working tools.
The work will be conducted in the frame of the K2-COMET programme (Competence Centers for Excellent Technologies) in Austria

Salary:
PhD: € 32.200,- pa (pre-tax);
PostDoc: € 42.360,- pa (pre-tax)
Requirements:
-Advanced skills in FEM simulation methods and materials computer modelling are beneficial
-High marks in the academic reports
-Good written and spoken English
