PhD Scholarships in Social Sciences: The University of Trento is now inviting applications for its PhD Programme in Economics and Management.

The programme focuses on the fields of decision sciences, organization, human and natural resource management with special attention to methodologies used in behavioural approaches to economics.

The 6 top-ranked candidates will be offered full 3-year scholarships. Scholarships are awarded on the basis of merit.

Eligible applicants: candidates, regardless of gender, age and nationality, who hold a relevant MA degree, or who expect to complete their degree by September.

Applications must include:

A photocopy of the applicant’s identity card or passport the degree certificate, with a list of the examinations successfully passed and scores obtained in each examination;

A curriculum vitae;

A research proposal in English (maximum 3.000 words); candidates are asked to include

A short abstract (maximum 150 words) and a bibliography in their research proposal.

Candidates may submit only one research proposal.

Applications may include:

Copies of publications, if any;

A certificate of knowledge of English (TOEFL, Proficiency etc.);

Any other qualifications such as international examinations (GRE or equivalent);

Any other useful documents (e.g.: scientific publications, prizes, study and post-graduate research activities, etc.);

Maximum three reference letters in English or Italian.

As all doctoral programmes are taught in English, proof of fluency in that language is a prerequisite for admission.

We require at least C1 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) or equivalent.

Failing a certificate of knowledge of English language, during the oral examination the knowledge of English will be tested.
