Assistant Project Manager
KK Security, a leading international safety, security & solutions provider, is looking for an assistant Project Manager. The role will be working with an international client in the Oil & Gas industry with high opportunity potential.
The successful applicant will assist the Project Manager and project teams in the control of the project schedule, cost and performance risks, to ensure that we exceed the client’s expectations. This position reports to the Project Manager.
Core Duties
Meet financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing project budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances and initiating corrective actions.
Achieve operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production; productivity; quality and customer-service standards. Resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining system improvements and implementing change.
Accomplish human resource objectives by selecting, recruiting, inducting, assigning and scheduling employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures.
Enhance departmental and organisational reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
University degree in a business related field
3 years work experience in project management
Familiarity with project management tools and/or software packages
Demonstrated leadership managing people
Experience in working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Rapidly adapt and respond to changes in environment and priorities
Excellent communication; leadership; problem solving and analytical skills
Ability to gain cooperation from senior management and other departments
Developing budgets and tracking budget expenses
Experience with NGOs and/or working in remote areas would be an advantage.

Head Of Risk & Security – Kenya
Core Duties
Lead and develop a dedicated team of security and investigative personnel.
Planning, designing and implementing an overall risk management process for the organization risk assessment, which involves analyzing risks as well as identifying, describing and estimating the risks affecting the business.
Risk evaluation, which involves comparing estimated risks with criteria established by the organization such as costs, legal requirements and environmental factors, and evaluating the organization’s previous handling of risks.
Risk reporting in an appropriate way for different audiences so that they understand the most significant risks and ensure that they are aware of risks relevant to theirparts of the business and to individuals to understand their accountability for individual risks.
Corporate governance involving external risk reporting to stakeholders.
Carry out processes such as implementing health and safety measures and making business continuity plans to limit risks.
Conducting audits of policy and compliance to standards, including liaison with internal and external auditors.
Providing support, education and training to staff to build risk awareness within the organization.
Carrying out risk and process audits and implementing risk mitigation.
Any other duty assigned by the management.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
A University degree
Post graduate qualification in Security/Risk Management.
At least 5 years experience managing risk/security at senior management level
High level of personal organization and planning skills.
Negotiating and influencing skills.
Excellent communications and presentation skills.
Diligent, personable and able to build a wide sphere of influence across a large, matrix organization.
