Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe e.V./Johanniter International Assistance is a German Christian non-governmental organisation, dedicated to excellence in the field of first aid, ambulance service, social service programmes and other projects in the medical and so-cial field.

It is currently seeking to recruit:

1. Country Director

The Country Director will manage security, ensure that guidelines are followed and adapted and that the team is safe and well informed at all times.

Further, he or she will ensure that the programme remains within its original remit, budget and is in line with Johanniter and donor guidelines.

Qualifications:

University Degree holder preferably post graduate degree

Experience in security management in difficult contexts

3-5 years experience of working in the field

Proven experience in project co-ordination, including financial management

Strong experience in acquisition of donor funding

Networking with partners

Experience in the region is an asset

People management and supervision in a generalist role

Multi-tasking including logistics, administration

Communication, negotiation and representation

Report writing

Situation analysis

Knowledge of Arabic and German is a strong asset
