The International Strategy for Disaster Reduction (ISDR) was created by the UN in 2000 with the specific mandate to raise awareness about the need to reduce the risk of disaster.

They seek to recruit:

Consultant (Disaster risk reduction expert)- Ethiopia.

Qualifications:

Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in disaster risk management, development, public policy or a related field. A first-level university degree in combination with qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.

A minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience.

Fluency in written and spoken English required. Working knowledge of French is an added advantage.
