Project Officer
Based in Nairobi with frequent travel to the field, the incumbent will report to the WASH pillar Manager and will provide technical support in the design, implementation, monitoring, training and evaluation of community water, sanitation & hygiene projects to ensure implementation of quality, viable, appropriate and sustainable community projects.
Key responsibilities:
Provide technical support during implementation, monitoring and evaluation and ensure program excellence in implementation of WASH projects.
Coordinate training to communities in water, sanitation & hygiene operation and management.
Provide and participate in development of fundraising strategies for WASH projects
Provide technical review to tender documents for water and sanitation construction projects and participate in preparing water contracts.
Coordinate WASH collaboration & networks with the Ministry of Water, Public Health & other relevant partners.
Development of proposal/ concept papers
Prepare monitoring reports of water and sanitation projects
Establishing / fostering relevant partnerships with NGO’s
Minimum Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
Degree in Environmental Health or Water Engineering
At least three (2) years working experience in community based Water Sanitation and Hygiene interventions.
Good assessment, analytical and writing skills.
Good working experience in Community participation in development.
Experience in training using participatory adult learning methodologies.
Experience in hygiene promotion training methodologies
Experience in rural/community water supply systems and technology desirable
Good experience and knowledge of Child Protection issues.
Excellent computer skills.

Nutritional Officer
The position holder will report to the Food and Nutrition Pillar Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Together with District Nutrition Officer (DNO), come up with a Bi annual request for the MNP Supplements in all Health Facilities.
Carry out nutrition program supportive supervision and On the Job Training for Health workers and Community Health workers.
Thoroughly monitor submission of stock and nutrition indicator reports from all Health Facilities.
Assist DNOs with preparation of monthly District stock summary report.
Strengthen nutrition education and other High Impact Nutrition Interventions such as Infant and Young Child Feeding and Micronutrient supplementation to healthcare workers, and beneficiaries of the program at Health Facility.
Carry out demonstrations of home fortification with MNP to new beneficiaries at Health Facilities.
Jointly with DNO initiate and ensure Health Facility based mother-to-mother support groups are held monthly in the District, be an active participant in these meetings, and disseminate minutes of these meetings to the agency and partner.
Jointly with DNO initiate and ensure quarterly coordination meetings with key stakeholders are held in the District.
Participate in community/cluster/workgroup meetings, and disseminate minutes to theagency and partners.
Requirements for this position
A degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from a recognized University.
Good working knowledge on Integrated Management of Acute Malnutrition (IMAM)
At least 1 year Experience implementing and managing Supplementary Feeding Programs (SFPs).
Experience working with nutrition programs in partnership with the Ministry of Public Health and Sanitation.
Excellent coordination skills both at District level and at Health Facilities.
Excellent skills in managing databases and generating reports.
Ability to use own initiative and work with minimum supervision.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Understanding of the local language will be an added advantage.
Knowledge and understanding of child protection policies.

Data Entry Clerk
2 Positions
Key responsibilities:
Developing / updating appropriate database templates for data entry, processing, analysis and reporting.
Data organization, entry and storage.
Provide documentation guidelines and IT support to staff in the program
Document management for the Programs.
Data sorting, verification and preparation of analysis reports.
Operation of office equipment in data management
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Statistics.
Experience working in data collection / entry & analysis and management of project databases.
Proficiency in Database Design and working with Data analysis software.
Skilled in programming packages.
Good interpersonal skills and be a team player
Should be able to work with minimum supervision with self-drive and initiative.
