Dream Project Children’s Home - Organization Background
Dream Project (Caring for dream Children’s Home) was founded in December 2004 and registered as a CBO (Community Based Organization) in July 2005.
Dream Project Children’s Home was established with an aim to address the needs of children orphaned by aids pandemic, destitute and abandoned children in the society.
The first child was taken up by the home in 2004 after the parents succumbed to aids. The home caters for between 25 and 60 children at any one time. The children are aged 1 to 15 years.
Geographical Location
Dream Project Children’s Home is located in Matasia, Ngong Division, Kajiado District, Rift Valley Province. It is about 40 minutes drive from Nairobi city centre, along Ngong Kiserian road.
Vision, Mission and Goals
The vision of Dream Project Children’s Home is to raise Children full of hope and better future in the society.
The home hopes to build the capacity of the abandoned, HIV/AIDS orphaned and destitute children, so that they may improve their livelihood and achieve their goals in life as well as their full potential like other children in the society.
Organization Objectives
The Dream Project Children’s Home immediate objectives are: -
a) To provide basic needs to the needy children such as shelter, food, clothes and education
b) To provide Home Based Care and education support to children orphaned as a result of HIV and AIDS.
c) To start a vocational school for woodwork and computer training that will enable the centre to generate income to meet some of its expenditure and sustain itself.
d) To build a school that will serve both its children and those in the community.
Financial and Other Resources
Dream Project Children’s Home gets funding from well wishers, willing donors and sponsors through appeals. Advance Africa assists the home through the program fee paid by each volunteer to the home and other donations received on behalf of the home.
Dream Project Children’s Home is always looking for assistance to enable it to help the orphaned, poor and disadvantaged children.

vi) Finances for expansion purposes
